When to go and how to reach
Athirapally is roughly 70 km from Kochi airport. The best months are September to January, when the falls are at full flow after the monsoon and the forest is at its greenest. During the monsoon itself the falls are at their most dramatic, but heavy rain can restrict access, so check conditions before you travel.
The short version
